Association between physical activity, nutritional status, and cognitive performance among school children in southern Tanzania.

  • Understanding these links helps shape better school health and nutrition programs in Tanzania.

Key Findings
  • 92.6% of children met WHO’s daily activity recommendation.
  • 77.9% had healthy weight; 14.3% underweight; 7.8% overweight/obese.
  • Children with low activity were 3 times more likely to be obese.
